Abstract
Life under fire / describes the grave of a Corporal Richard Rhodes, created by German soldiers, that Ivor Gurney visits and is much impressed by / a postponement to 'going over the top' and the reaction to it / thoughts of 'Blighty' / Maisemore Wood / thanks Marion Scott for writing to Gurney's friends / has written no more poems as yet / thinking of Scott's daughter Audrey / asks Scott to inquire as to whether the 5th Gloucesters were mentioned in dispatches / expresses joy over the coming of spring.
