Describes in detail his first meeting with Siegfried Sassoon. Includes a draft of 'The Dead Beat'. The letter covers two days. In the second day Owen again describes his meeting with Sassoon including a conversation about 'The Old Huntsman' and Sassoon's advice on writing poetry. This is letter no. 541 in Ed.
