Abstract
These are photographs showing the grave of my great uncle Private Frank Kelty (1714) who joined the 2nd / 10th Manchester Regiment in 1916. He died on the 5th of September 1916, at which time he was attached to the King's Liverpool Regiment, and is buried in Euston Road Cemetery in France.
I was told he had joined under age and his elder brother informed the authorities and he left the army and went to work in munitions.
He then rejoined the army when he was old enough, but it is apparent from his diary entries (submitted separately) that he had done so very reluctantly.
One photograph shows the original cross of Frank's grave, the other a photograph of his headstone that I took on a visit to his grave.
