and during those two years quartered at Regimental Depot in Manchester, also Southport; Kendal, Jillicoulby & Ladybank nr Cupar.

Period September 1916 to June 1919 with 2nd & 8th Kings Shropshire Light Infantry. On active service in Macedonia, finishing at Batumn, a Russian fort on the Black Sea.
Regimental number 25763. D Company, Transport Section.

Composed after his return to Enland with the aid of letters sent home during the war. 274 pp. Details of home service to pg. 43, account takes the form of a diary from pg. 32.
