Abstract
John was born in 1892. He was Sarah's 2nd son. He went to Lincoln to enlist - presumably in the Sherwood Foresters like his brother Fred, but I'm not certain.
John wrote "Dear Mother Arrived here at 2 o'clock yesterday quiet(sic) safe I am getting on very well hope you are getting on alright With Best Love Your Son John.
This is the only card from John, and there are no photos of him in Sarah's album. He apparently died in the flu pandemic in 1918, but I don't know what happened in between!
He is mentioned in other correspondence (from his sister to his mother), and he gave his sister Lizzie away when she got married in June 1917.
