Abstract
Apologises to Siegfried Sassoon for being so happy / admits fears regarding return to the line and active duty / announces upcoming book of poems entitled 'The Patchwork Quilt', a draft of which Robert Graves also includes with the letter, and a poem about the book / thanks Sassoon for a financial gift and details its uses / wishes Sassoon to be godfather to expected child / discusses bad soldier poets / wonders what friends are up to.
